About Me

Hi, my name is Bryn Morgan and I am a Dramatherapist, based in Newport, South Wales. I have been working within the 3rd sector for ten years supporting clients with a range of vulnerabilities and wellbeing  needs. In 2018 I qualified as a Dramatherapist and have been practising ever since.

My experience ranges from young children all the way up to those with more ‘life experience.’ I have worked within a number of projects and have experience of providing therapeutic support within the following  topics:

-Bereavement, Loss and Grief

-Fostering and Adoption

-Developmental Trauma

-Anxiety

-Building positive attachments

-Vulnerable Masculinity

-Asylum Seekers/Refugees

-Unemployment

-Single parent families

My approach is very much taken in the style of Irvin Yalom who suggests we can work ‘in the moment’ and embrace what happens subconsciously within the space. I am keen to come alongside those who I support and join them in their own individual journeys, guiding them safely through any challenges or hurdles we face.

I am also involved with the Dramatherapy Cymru committee as well as having the role of being the Welsh representative within the British Association of Dramatherapists.

A keen rugby fan I have recently retired from the game but keep an active lifestyle enjoying such things as running, bootcamps and gym sessions. Music and reading are key elements to my personal and working life with a wide range of influences ranging from rock to classical, from fantasy to true life. I value  the outdoors and, where possible look to take sessions outside or bring the  outside-in embracing the change in seasons can bring to our own wellbeing and unconscious actions.
